Give your puppy the best start in life!
The first few weeks with your puppy are priceless — and powerful! Between 7 and 12 weeks of age, your puppy is in their prime time for socialization. What they experience now will shape how they see the world for years to come.
At Preschool Puppy Class, we make learning fun and positive! Through guided exposure to new sights, sounds, people, and other pups, your puppy will build confidence and form healthy, happy associations.
Management and gentle puppy guidance, early and consistently is important for a number of reasons. It helps prevent problem behaviour from being accidentally rewarded with attention and teaches early manners and your desired behaviours that make life with and for that puppy a lot easier.
Group Puppy Classes are divided into two ages.
PUPPY CLASS
PUP 1 - PRESCHOOL PUPPY CLASS - 10 wks to 3.5 months at start of class:

We’ll also teach your puppy the basics of good behaviour:

By the end of this class, you’ll be able to read your puppy’s emotional signals and help them navigate the world with confidence. Your puppy will gain social skills with people, other dogs, and in new environments — setting the stage for a lifetime of success!

Wednesdays - Aug 6 and 13th from 7 - 8 pm and Sundays Aug 9th and 16th from 5-6 pm (new time)

Puppies enrolling in the Pup 1 class may enrol into the Pup 2 class for a $30 discount.
PUP 2 - PRE-ADOLESCENT PUPPY CLASSES - 4 to 7 months old.
Building on the foundation from Pup 1, this class focuses on strengthening your bond with your growing pup while introducing more real-world distractions.
We’ll keep up the positive social experiences your puppy needs as they approach their second fear stage — helping them stay confident and curious.
Training includes fun, enriching games and confidence-building and strengthening exercises, all while continuing with working around distractions and the start of loose-leash walking skills.
Once you've paid for Pup 2 Class, you will receive codes with downloads for the Pup 1 Booklets so you can navigate through the program on your own. You may book a Zoom or Private session for further assistance.
Puppies that have not attended the Pup 1 Class and are 5 months and older may require a private session.
PUP 2 CLASS for pups 4 to 7 months

After payment, watch for an email with codes to download the PupStart and Pup Class Booklet from the "MORE" section. This booklet contains important instruction to get started right away at home and preparation for your class. Feel free to reach out if you cannot download these important booklets or have any questions.

Required before your first class:
A Vaccination record that declares your puppy has started Vaccinations and is in good health is required before Class.
Vaccinations do not need to be completed and can attend class before their 4 month vaccination.
The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviour believes that puppies need socialization before they are fully vaccinated. AVSAB Puppy Socialization
